Requirements for this position are:
  • Successful completion of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) pre-requisite education program modules 1-5 or equivalent education recognized by CPA Canada.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an intermediate accounting role.
  • Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to obtain a minimum of 70% on a City administered Financial Exam.

Clerk Typist 3 - City of North Vancouver

The City Clerk’s Department requires a regular full-time Clerk Typist 3. 
You will provide administrative and clerical support services for the City Clerk’s Department.  Your primary responsibilities include preparation of an electronic Agenda and Information Package for Council on a weekly basis.  You will also prepare documents and correspondence, order office supplies, and provide reception relief on a multi-line switchboard.  In addition, you will assist with electronic document and records management, including providing training to staff on the usage of the electronic document and records management system and classification of City records.

You will have clerical experience, a keyboarding speed of 50 wpm (net), be proficient in MS Office, and have the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.  You will also have meticulous attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to interact effectively with employees, members of the public, Council members, and City officials.  Experience with an electronic records management system and Adobe Acrobat Pro would be assets.


Clerk Typist 2 - City of New Westminster 



REQUIREMENTS:
  • Completion of Grade 12, including or supplemented by courses in word processing, typing and business, plus considerable related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable to the employer.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in cemetery operations and/or Stone Orchard Software.
  • Sound knowledge of applicable rules and regulations of the cemetery operations and the Cremation, Internment and Funeral Services Act.
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
  • Considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to perform clerical and typing assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to compose non-routine correspondence, and prepare reports and related material independently.
  • Ability to effectively use applicable software including Outlook, Word and Excel and to operate common office equipment.
  • Must have a minimum typing speed proficiency of 55 wpm.
